Heather joined the Sunlight Day Spa team in April 2010. She comes from an extensive retail background; prior to SDS she was the Ladies Division Manager at Mark Shale on the Country Club Plaza. She was with Mark Shale from 1997 until it closed in 2009. Since her time at Sunlight Day Spa she has learned the importance of a skin regimen and massage therapy while also enjoying the benefits of the infrared saunas. She has volunteered and worked on many civic and social organizations in the Kansas City area. In her free time she enjoys tennis, traveling, reading and spending time with her friends and family.

Ashley attended Heritage College and got her esthetics license in 2010. Her advanced training includes Image Skincare product knowledge, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, dermaplaning, CBI products, mineral makeup and waxing. She enjoys helping her clients feel great about themselves and their skin and believes putting together a skin care plan for each client puts them one step closer to achieving beautiful, healthy skin. Ashley loves working with her clients creating optimal results for a beautiful, radiant glow. When she isn’t pampering her clients, she can be found spending time with her family and friends, listening to live music, watching movies, and enjoying the outdoors.

Jennifer is a graduate of Johnson County Community College. She believes healthy skin is beautiful skin. She specializes in anti-aging treatments, microdermabrasion, and facial peels and gives customized skincare consultations with every facial service. In her free time she enjoys traveling, interior design, and spending time with friends and family.

Tara specializes in body waxing, microdermabrasion and chemical resurfacing. She attended The Academy of Aesthetic Arts in Shawnee, KS and joined Sunlight Day Spa in June 2009. She believes that many factors, both internal and external, contribute to the health and appearance of the skin. Smart lifestyle choices, limited sun exposure and a balanced diet are essential in achieving a truly vibrant complexion. She recommends pairing skin care treatments with Sunlighten’s infrared sauna for optimal results, as consistent sauna use clarifies the skin. Tara takes pride in providing each of her clients with a unique experience, tailored specifically to their individual needs.

Jena was born in and raised in Lee's Summit, MO. She Graduated from MTTI Wellspring of Allied Health in 2010. Her favorite modalities include deep tissue, stretching, and hot stone. She loves to work on neck, shoulders, back, and for you all you runners out there, your illiotibial bands. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 sons, reading, and game nights with friends and family.

Recently voted KC Magazine's 2010 Best Massage Therapist, Jennifer has more than 6 years of bodywork experience on both people and horses. She attended the University of Louisville, Lexington Healing Arts Academy. She customizes each client's experience by incorporating a variety of massage modalities including traditional Swedish Massage, deep tissue techniques, Swe-Thai massage, sports massage, myofascial release, NMT, hot stone massage and other intuitive bodywork. Having grown up showing horses, Jennifer is also a Certified Equine Massage Therapist. When she is not massaging or educating clients about wellness she spends her time riding horses, taking her Jack Russell/Rat Terrier mix "Max" to dog parks, playing sand volleyball, going to concerts and taking road trips/traveling to visit friends and family. In addition, she practices what she preaches by getting regular massages, chiropractic adjustments and using the infrared saunas.

Kyle has been a massage therapist for 5 years. She attended BMSI Institute in Overland Park KS. She specializes in Swedish massage, reflexology, prenatal, aromatherapy and has been a reiki practitioner for 3 years. Reiki is a form of energy work great for stress relief, relaxation and heightening the body's natural life force also know as "chi", helping every system in the body function better. Kyle loves all art forms, gardening, playing outside and spending time with family and friends.

After practicing massage for the past 6 years, Liz is still very interested in the art and science of healing. She believes that massage is a lifelong learning experience which is why she became nationally certified in 2005. Liz continues to take a variety of courses to expand her knowledge of various massage modalities. When she is not spending time with friends and family, she is proud to work for a spa that is second to none.
